The Interior Designer
Fourteen years ago Carla Rieke’s desire to have her own home a beautiful, comfortable and inviting place to entertain family and friends caused her to return to school to pursue her interest in Interior Design. She eventually left her successful sales career to start her new career as an interior designer. For the past 11 years she has been with Madden McFarland Interiors in Leawood, Kansas. Carla’s client work includes all types of projects from small remodels to new home construction and commercial work. The relationship she forms with her clients is extraordinary. Carla’s interior design talents inspire her to design no two homes alike. She designs specifically for you and your tastes. She is able to create “the home of your dreams” because she has taken the time to get to know you.
Working with several Kansas City builders, Carla has won several prestigious interior design awards for model homes and custom remodels. She has been featured in such magazines as KC Homes and Gardens, 435 South and national publications including; Log Home Design, Romantic Homes and Women’s World.
Carla’s active life includes her other passion – children. She not only is a weekly volunteer in the classroom at the Children’s Place but is a member of The Angels of the Children’s Place Board. (The Children’s Place is a nurturing, caring place for the very youngest survivors of abuse, neglect and other childhood traumas.) Carla is also a Youthfriend volunteer and spends one hour of class time every week with a little girl in the Kansas City, MO School District.
Carla has been married to Fred for 22 years, between them they have 3 grown children. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, playing with their 3 dogs and boating at the Lake of the Ozarks. And they still get great enjoyment entertaining family & friends at their home.
